Special Guest Co is a mystery-guest practice built around one thing: the customer experience. The principles apply to almost any business — but we focus on hospitality, sport and recreation, health and wellness, and retail and clothing because that is where we have lived the work, as customers, staff, and operators.
The most useful feedback doesn't come from a survey or a star rating. It comes from a thoughtful guest who noticed. Every visit is conducted by a senior assessor. Every report is written by hand.
The Principal
With over two decades inside hospitality, sport and recreation, and health and wellness, I have built a practice on one thing: spotting what others miss. My attention to detail is elite. My judgement is grounded in common sense. And I have a near-instinctive sense of what a customer wants before they have to ask for it.
I am supported by a team of same-thinkers and specialist services when needed, but the work is personal. Every visit, every report, every conversation is shaped by the belief that getting the 1% right is the most important thing.
Experience is everything. The experience of a product. The experience of service. Without it, you are nothing. Customer service is not a department — it is the entire business, and it is judged in seconds.
I care so much that it drives me insane when people get it wrong. That intensity is not theatre. It is the reason clients come back. Because they know someone is in the room who cares enough to notice.
